As you'd imagine, millions of tulips in one place is a beautiful sight.
It's really amazing what they can do with flowers and the flowers were
blooming so beautifully, of course dont have only tulips.
Keukenhof is the most beautiful flower garden I have ever seen. The park covers nearly 2 acres with many walking paths, garden rooms, and pavilions to peruse. Entry is not very expensive Euro16 and it’s easily reachable. To get there, from Shciphol airport (Bus number 58) or take a train to Leiden station, arriving at the station go to the bus station outside and wait for the bus no. 54 at far end of your right hand side. The bus to the garden is specially designated. Before 10am, the bus arrives every ½ hour and after 10am, there is a bus every 15 minutes interval. If you buy the garden ticket from the official website, it will include the bus fare.
We visited Keukenhof in the first week of May when there were about 7 million flowers in full bloom. The best time to visit this place is between mid-March and mid-May. To avoid excessive crowds and long queues, get into the gardens by 9:00 am.
They have souvenir shops in there and cafes. We didn’t try the café coz we read it is expensive there, so, we brought our own food instead.
Keukenhof is definitely a unique experience, not to be missed when you are visiting Holland. It was a big experience for the whole family. We had a nice cozy and relaxed day, enjoying all the amazing flowers.
For me who have never seen a real growing tulip, I was so excited to see so many of it there. The colours, arrangement ant the type of tulips… just beautiful.
Absolute must see!

....ternyata ada tulip "Backpackers"
In 1949, the mayor of Lisse along with some leading bulb exporters and
flower growers created an open air flower exhibition on today's site of
Keukenhof Park. Over the years, the size of the park, number and variety
of bulbs, and the number of visitors has grown into the infamous garden
that is loved by millions today.
Keukenhof literally means 'kitchen garden' and was so named because it was the herb garden outside the castle kitchen of Jacoba van Beieren. The herb garden along with a vast hunting area around that castle now comprise the modern Keukenhof Park grounds.
The Dutch ornamental bulb industry shows off its best bulbs during the annual park exhibit as well as in the indoor shows where they present their most beautiful cut flowers. Each year, 93 local growers and exporters supply Keukenhof with their 'cream of the crop' bulbs for planting within the garden. For a complete list of these suppliers, visit the official website.
Five of these suppliers have bulb sales points within the park where you can order Spring blooming flowers that will be mailed to you for planting in Autumn. They also sell the large Amaryllis bulbs, cut flowers, and summer bulbs that you can purchase and carry home with you. If you have a garden, what better way to increase its beauty than with tulips direct from the Netherlands!
